Chinese appliances take over Europe — Polish prices down 5%, jobs at risk

Asian appliance manufacturers have for the first time captured a larger share of the European market than domestic producers. In Poland, equipment prices have fallen by up to 5% over two years despite rising energy, labour and raw material costs. The industry warns that without regulatory action, Europe risks losing more factories and thousands of jobs.
