Ebola in DR Congo: Over 1,000 Dead, 2,473 Cases Confirmed

Dr Jean Kaseya, Director-General of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, announced at a health summit in Ghana that 1,031 deaths from Ebola have been confirmed. The Democratic Republic of Congo's health ministry reported 2,473 cases in the latest outbreak as of Monday, with at least 737 patients currently in isolation. The epidemic is accelerating and raising serious international concern.
