Polish Senate rejects bid to strip senator Tyszkiewicz of immunity

The Polish Senate on Wednesday rejected a motion to lift the immunity of Senator Wadim Tyszkiewicz in a civil defamation case filed by MP Łukasz Mejza. Mejza sued after Tyszkiewicz publicly called him a fraudster. The motion failed to secure the required majority.
