Fallout 3 and New Vegas remasters should borrow Fallout 4's settlement system
Fallout 4 was critically praised but divisive among players, significantly improving shooting mechanics from Fallout 3 and New Vegas while introducing the settlements system that later inspired Fallout 76's base-building. However, the game stripped back RPG and dialogue elements considerably, feeling more like an open-world shooter than a true role-playing game. Prospective remasters of the earlier titles could benefit from adopting that settlement system.
