Volodymyr Zelenskyy is facing mounting pressure to reinstate sacked defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov after campaigners pledged to continue indefinite nationwide protests until he is restored to the role. On Tuesday, Zelenskyy also dismissed commander-in-chief Oleksandr Syrskyi and appointed Mykhailo Drapatyi as the new head of Ukraine's armed forces as part of a sweeping military reshuffle.
