Senate approves Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram as Poland's new Ombudsman

The Polish Senate has approved the appointment of Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram as the country's new Ombudsman (Commissioner for Human Rights, RPO). Before the vote, Gregorczyk-Abram stated that the office should be a place of dialogue and that its role derives directly from the Polish Constitution as a charter of human rights.
