FCC chair: ABC's refusal to air Trump speech live may cost its broadcast licence

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, appointed by President Trump, said Wednesday that the agency will factor ABC's decision not to air Trump's July 16 speech live into its review of the network's broadcast licences. Carr argued that government-licensed broadcasters have an obligation to carry the president's remarks. The move raises concerns about the use of federal regulatory power to pressure a news network.
