Hitler's birthplace in Austria converted into a police station
The Austrian government has converted the 17th-century building in Braunau am Inn where Adolf Hitler was born into a police station. The move is intended to prevent the site from becoming a pilgrimage destination for neo-Nazis and Nazi sympathisers. Austria has owned the building since 2017.
