Prof. Orłowski: the finance minister cannot shield the budget from political pressure

Economist Prof. Witold Orłowski, speaking to Piotr Kraśko on TVN24, commented on the proposal to raise the tax-free income threshold in Poland. He argued that politicians are always forced to claim there is money for everything, and that a finance minister cannot hold back that political pressure. Orłowski warned the move would be costly for the state budget.
