OpenAI Sued Over ChatGPT Medical Advice to Pastor Who Claims It Triggered a Health Crisis

A lawsuit filed Wednesday accuses OpenAI and CEO Sam Altman of negligence after ChatGPT allegedly gave unauthorised medical advice to a pastor, including the claim that "God did not design your body to endlessly fail." The man says he followed the chatbot's guidance and subsequently suffered a medical crisis. The lawsuit argues that OpenAI overstepped boundaries by allowing its AI to dispense medical counsel.
