Polish ministry rejects ZUS proposal to eliminate cash pension payments
Poland's Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) proposed switching all pension and benefit payments to cashless transfers only, arguing that bank transfers are far cheaper than postal money orders. The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy responded to the proposal and rejected the move to eliminate cash payments. Pensioners who prefer to receive their benefits in cash will therefore continue to have that option.
