Italian farmer covered his house in handcrafted ceramic tiles in 1925

La Casa del Serpentello in Vignale Monferrato, Italy, is a house entirely covered in unique handcrafted ceramic tiles, each personally designed and made by its owner, farmer Luciano Serpentello, in 1925. The facade doubles as a poem Serpentello inscribed himself: "If not beautiful, it is original, and its equal is hard to find." The building is considered a singular work of folk art in the Monferrato region.
