Philipsen wins Tour de France stage 17 as ailing Pogacar holds the lead

Belgian cyclist Jasper Philipsen won stage 17 of the 2026 Tour de France, finishing comfortably ahead of Mauro Schmid and Olav Kooij at the end of an Alpine stage. Tadej Pogacar struggled throughout the stage after suffering from a stomach problem the night before, but the Slovenian retained the overall lead.
