Not that there’s ever a bad year to be a Star Wars fan, but long-time lovers of the franchise have had plenty of exciting content to enjoy this year, with more on the way before the arrival of 2027. The first project of the year that didn’t need the Force to win over fans around the world was Maul — Shadow Lord , the Disney+ series that was renewed for Season 2 before a single episode of Season 1 hit the air. The show stars Sam Witwer as the titular Dark Side Force user, and it worked so well because it pulled Darth Maul out of the shadows of other heroes and villains and put him at the center, proving he’s more than compelling enough to lead his own show.
