AMD Invests $5 Billion in Anthropic and Signs Chip Supply Deal

AMD is investing $5 billion in AI startup Anthropic, maker of the Claude assistant, as the chipmaker seeks to undercut Nvidia's dominance in machine-learning hardware. The two companies also struck a chip supply deal alongside the investment. It is one of the largest single investments in the AI sector in recent months.
