AlphaFold3-based ContactSeek model sharpens DNA base editing precision

Scientists have developed ContactSeek, an AlphaFold3-driven computational model that improves the precision of DNA base-editing tools by modelling protein–DNA contacts. The model reduces unwanted off-target editing events in the genome. The study appeared in Nature on 22 July 2026.
