Polish energy sector disappointed by ETS reform: Modernisation Fund the only real gain

Polish energy and heating companies had high hopes for a significant easing of the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS), but the actual benefits of the reform have proved limited. The retention of the Modernisation Fund is seen as the most important gain for the sector. Industry players say they will continue lobbying for more favourable changes to the ETS framework.
