AMD commits up to $5 billion to Anthropic to expand AI computing power

AMD has announced an investment of up to $5 billion in AI company Anthropic. As part of the deal, Anthropic will deploy up to 2 gigawatts of AMD's Instinct MI450 AI GPUs using the chipmaker's new Helios rack-scale system. The partnership is aimed at dramatically expanding Anthropic's computing capacity for AI model training.
