FATF warns centralised elements "frequently persist" in DeFi — calls for regulation

The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has warned that centralised elements frequently persist in decentralised finance (DeFi) platforms and must be regulated. Nearly every country has yet to apply the relevant rules, the watchdog said. Platforms that fail to comply risk outright bans, FATF cautioned.
