Mali: At least 50 soldiers killed in ambush near Anefis
At least 50 Malian soldiers were killed in an ambush near the northern town of Anefis, in an attack claimed by Tuareg separatists and Al-Qaeda-linked jihadists. The assault is among the deadliest blows to Mali's military-led government in years. Militants have also downed a military helicopter and briefly seized territory, highlighting the growing threat to both Malian and Russian Africa Corps forces operating in the country.
