Five dead in Manhattan Legionnaires' disease outbreak linked to Upper East Side cooling towers

Five people have died in New York City in a Legionnaires' disease outbreak centred on Manhattan's Upper East Side. The city's health department has confirmed 82 cases, with eight people still hospitalised and 56 discharged. The source of the outbreak has been traced to cooling towers, which authorities say have now been eliminated.
