3,000-year-old human remains found face down beneath volcanic ash
Ancient human remains estimated to be around 3,000 years old were discovered face down, preserved beneath a layer of volcanic ash. Researchers plan to carry out radiocarbon dating to confirm the age of the remains and DNA analysis to determine the individual's sex. The volcanic ash is believed to have played a key role in the preservation of the bones.
