It's been a difficult few years to be a Blade fan. After Marvel Studios announced a new movie starring Mahershala Ali during San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, the project quickly became one of the MCU's most anticipated additions. Instead of ever making it to theaters, however, the project has spent years trapped in development, cycling through multiple directors and writers before eventually being removed from Disney's release calendar altogether . While Marvel has repeatedly insisted that the Daywalker still has a future on screen, concrete updates have been few and far between.
