Prof. Wiącek ends term as Polish Ombudsman: "We built independence from politics"

Prof. Marcin Wiącek has completed his five-year term as Poland's Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman). On his final day he stressed that the office had successfully built a reputation as independent from political and ideological disputes. Wiącek handed the role over to his successor.
