New Alzheimer's drugs slow the disease – but only with early diagnosis
For the first time, therapies are available that can slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease. The critical requirement is early diagnosis and proper qualification for treatment, yet many patients see a neurologist too late. Prof. Halina Sienkiewicz-Jarosz describes the development as "the beginning of a new era in Alzheimer's diagnosis and treatment."
