FA charges Southampton's Tonda Eckert over spygate training scandal
The Football Association has charged Southampton's Tonda Eckert, 33, with three counts of misconduct for orchestrating a spying operation on three Championship rivals' training sessions. Eckert has accepted full responsibility for sending club staff to observe opponents' sessions. He has until 28 July to respond to the charges and could face a one-year ban. Southampton was previously expelled from the Championship play-off final over the scandal.
