EU row brewing as Commission demands half of ETS revenues fund green transition

The European Commission wants member states to allocate at least half of their ETS revenue to the green energy transition, triggering a clash with finance ministers who refuse to cede budget control to Brussels. Poland, which had promised to earmark far more than half for that purpose, may find itself in an awkward position in the dispute.
