DBD Chaos Shuffle, along with 2v8, is one of the most prominent limited-time modes added to the horror game. It only comes around occasionally, so I for one am always looking forward to the next iteration of the LTM.

By randomizing your perk loadout in every match, you never know what's going to happen - especially since the other four players also have random perks, too. Not only is this just a recipe for fun, but it's also a great way to learn some of the more obscure perks you might not use much or even own, so here's when DBD Chaos Shuffle returns next.

When is DBD Chaos Shuffle back?

(Image credit: Behaviour Interactive) DBD Chaos Shuffle returns from Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 8AM PDT / 11AM EDT / 4PM BST, and end at the same time on Tuesday, August 4, when it will be replaced by the Lights Out modifier.

This is just a short period of one week, so make sure you don't miss the return of Dead by Daylight Chaos Shuffle. The reason this event is so short is that it makes up just one third of the Summer of Screams, with Chaos Shuffle, Lights Out, and DBD's 2v8 mode each making a return for one week only.

As I've mentioned above, Chaos Shuffle randomly selects your four perks, but you can still choose your item, add-ons, and Offering. You won't know what your perks are until you load into the game, so I recommend using the first few seconds of the match, before play begins, to read your perk descriptions. You can do this by entering the menu and hovering your mouse or controller cursor over each perk. You can look at these at any time, but you will be out of commission while you do so.

This latest Chaos Shuffle event comes ahead of the next DBD update , which is coming soon, boasting heaps of thrilling new content, so redeem the latest DBD codes to ensure you're stocked up on Bloodpoints to spend on the next new character.

The billionaire says the AI-generated film will stay true to Homer’s original, after repeatedly criticising Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster over its casting choices

Elon Musk has said his AI platform Grok Imagine will make a “historically accurate” adaptation of Homer’s Odyssey, after the success of Christopher Nolan’s blockbusting treatment which the SpaceX founder has regularly criticised over its casting.

In a post on X , Musk said: “Before this year ends, Grok Imagine will make a full-length movie of The Odyssey that is historically accurate and true to the art of Homer.” Musk also linked to a post containing a three-minute clip of footage that the user said had been generated from Grok Imagine, showing a scene between Odysseus and the nymph Calypso.

Video game fans have had plenty of massive projects to dive into this year, including a new James Bond game, 007 First Light , and one of the most anticipated Assassin’s Creed games of all time, Black Flag Resynced . The former stars Patrick Gibson as the iconic MI6 agent, and the latter is a ground-up remake of one of the most beloved Assassin's Creed games of all time, centered around the legendary pirate Edward Kenway. There are also a few big games coming in the second half of the year to look forward to, including Wolverine , the new Marvel game from Insomniac, developers of all three popular Spider-Man games. The biggest release of the year — and maybe even of all time — belongs to Grand Theft Auto 6 , the first game from Rockstar after the colossal success of Red Dead Redemption 2 .
