Plas Johnson, the saxophonist whose playing defined the iconic Pink Panther theme, has died at the age of 94. Over his prolific career he appeared on recordings by Frank Sinatra, BB King, Joni Mitchell, Marvin Gaye, the Beach Boys and many more. He was one of the most in-demand session musicians in entertainment history.
