Venice Giornate degli Autori 2026 unveils women-focused lineup in tribute to late founder

Venice's parallel sidebar Giornate degli Autori (GdA) has revealed its 2026 lineup, selected from 1,036 submissions across 114 countries. The programme features 25 world premieres — 13 Italian and 14 directed by women — with 10 films in competition, one closing film out of competition, and five special events. The edition is dedicated to the section's late founder, Giorgio Gosetti.
