'Shadow AI' breaks GDPR rules: half of employees use AI tools without employer knowledge

More than half of employees use AI tools without their employer's knowledge, often uploading contracts, CVs and customer data to them. Experts warn this constitutes a serious GDPR risk that could result in heavy fines. Companies are urged to quickly implement policies and safeguards to curb so-called shadow AI use.
