Missing Warsaw Poet Found Dead in Slovakia — Buried Without Family's Knowledge
After more than a year of searching, it has been confirmed that Piotr Kuśmirek — a Warsaw-based poet and bookseller — died in an accident in Slovakia, where he was buried without his family's knowledge. His identity was only established after a lengthy investigation, according to Aneta Nasiłowska, a senior officer from the police in Wołomin. The case ended in tragedy for a family that spent over a year without knowing what had happened to him.
