Louvre's Apollo Gallery reopens nearly a year after €88m crown jewels heist
The Apollo Gallery at the Louvre in Paris has reopened to the public almost a year after thieves disguised as construction workers stole France's crown jewels worth €88 million. The stolen jewels will not be on display; the room reverts to its 17th-century role as a state gallery. The robbers gained access using a truck-mounted lift.
