Poland's Hel Peninsula has undergone a dramatic transformation over the past two decades, shifting from a wild party destination to a more regulated seaside resort. Jerzy Stańczyk, a long-time employee of the Umili Pod Cyprysami holiday centre, recalls nightly processions of revellers and various incidents that used to occur. Today, only youth beach dances remain as a reminder of those times.
