Morawiecki's new party could strengthen President Nawrocki's hand in parliament
Mateusz Morawiecki's yet-to-be-formed new political grouping is already polling enough support to alter the right-wing balance of power, according to commentator Zuzanna Dąbrowska. If both Confederation groupings together overtake PiS in elections, it would create a favourable political landscape for President Karol Nawrocki. Dąbrowska argues this scenario is Nawrocki's ideal situation for consolidating influence.
