Mercosur food imports dropped in first month — farmers' fears unfounded so far

In the first month since the EU-Mercosur trade agreement came into force, food imports from the South American bloc actually fell. Polish farmers' fears of being swamped by cheap transatlantic food have not materialised so far, with the numbers contradicting the doom-laden predictions made by agricultural groups.
