German Bundeswehr Sappers Support Poland's "Eastern Shield" Build-up

At Poland's invitation, a rotational German Bundeswehr engineering unit is supporting the Polish Army in expanding defensive infrastructure under the "Eastern Shield" programme, the Polish General Staff announced. The training and engineering mission is rotational and temporary. It marks another step in strengthening military cooperation between Poland and Germany.
