Texas Chain Saw Massacre reimagined as hand-drawn animation – no AI used

Dark Sky Films and Fathom Events are producing an animated version of the 1974 horror classic The Texas Chain Saw Massacre using hand-drawn rotoscoping, tracing every frame by hand with no AI involvement. A first look at the project will be revealed on 18 August during special Texas Chain Saw Day screenings, which also feature a restored 4K print of the original film. Artist Paul Beck is leading the visual work.
