Ukrainian F-16 shoots down Russian fighter in aerial battle — a first in the war

US Joint Chiefs Chairman General Dan Caine revealed that a Ukrainian F-16 shot down a Russian fighter jet in aerial combat. He described it as the first such incident since the war began and said Ukraine has significantly strengthened its air defence system.
