Zelenskyy fires Syrskyi and reshapes army as EU pushes 21st Russia sanctions package

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dismissed army commander-in-chief Oleksandr Syrskyi and launched a reorganisation of the Ukrainian armed forces. He offered the defence minister he sacked the previous week a "prominent position." Meanwhile, EU ambassadors convened in Brussels to sign off on the 21st package of sanctions against Russia after previous attempts failed.
