"Avengers: Doomsday" sells 16.5 million tickets on first day of pre-sales

"Avengers: Doomsday" sold over 16.5 million tickets on its first day of pre-sales, making it the third-best opening pre-sale day since the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Variety. Only the two recent Spider-Man films — "No Way Home" and "Brand New Day" — outperformed it. Notably, the pre-sale excludes IMAX screenings, as the film will not be shown in IMAX during its opening weekend.
