Lech Poznań defeated Danish side AGF Aarhus 4–1 in the first leg of the second Champions League qualifying round. Niels Frederiksen's side impressed throughout the match. Former Poland international Wojciech Kowalczyk said after the game: "I think Lech has probably already left Ekstraklasa behind."
