Japan and Vietnam to Jointly Develop Next-Generation Fast Landing Craft

Japan's Self-Defence Forces have been searching for over a year for fast landing craft to replace their LCAC hovercraft. Tokyo has decided to develop the successors jointly with Vietnam. The move marks another step in Japan's effort to expand its amphibious capabilities across the Indo-Pacific region.
