Evenepoel wins Tour de France time trial but Pogacar holds yellow jersey

Remco Evenepoel won the Stage 16 individual time trial at the Tour de France, finishing 28 seconds ahead of Tadej Pogacar and 1'04'' clear of Mattias Skjelmose between Évian and Thonon. The three-time world time trial champion tightened his grip on second place overall, but still trails Pogacar by 4'32'' in the general classification. It is Evenepoel's second stage win of this year's race after his victory at Plateau de Solaison.
