Sejm picks Szpytma as IPN chief, but Senate approval far from certain

The Sejm has elected Dr Mateusz Szpytma as head of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN), but he still needs Senate approval to take office. Some coalition senators have signalled they will oppose the nomination, and PSL senator Jan Filip Libicki described the candidate's chances of success as illusory.
