US military operations against Iran have so far cost approximately $37.7 billion, according to Pentagon figures. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth is pressing Congress for an additional $68 billion, arguing the funds are urgently needed. Hegseth also suggested Iran may be receiving military backing from Russia and China.
