Poland's government approves free sign-language interpreter in court for deaf people

The Polish government approved a Justice Ministry bill on Tuesday that will provide deaf people with free sign-language interpretation in court proceedings. The new rules place sign-language interpreters on the same legal footing as foreign-language interpreters provided to non-Polish speakers. The reform aims to ensure equal access to justice for the hearing-impaired.
