Tokyo tells men to wear shorts to work; some women call it 'leg hair harassment'
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is urging office workers to swap suits and ties for t-shirts, trainers and shorts during hot weather. However, some women have criticised the campaign, calling it "leg hair harassment" as they feel pressured to shave their legs before wearing shorts. The initiative is partly aimed at reducing air-conditioning energy consumption.
