ZUS cannot cancel "granny benefit" based solely on school register data

Poland's Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) cannot withdraw the "Aktywni rodzice w pracy" benefit — commonly called the "granny benefit" — based solely on automated entries in the School Information System (SIO). The registry data alone are not a sufficient legal basis for stopping payments. ZUS is required to carry out a full explanatory procedure before making such a decision.
