Pakistan launches dedicated crypto crime investigation unit
Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has established a dedicated unit to tackle digital asset crimes. The unit's head, Muhammad Athar Waheed, called on other major agencies to form their own specialist crypto crime teams. Pakistan thus joins a growing number of countries building regulatory and investigative infrastructure for the cryptocurrency market.
